Note
from BBC Religion
& Ethics
People's
lives have been profoundly changed by advances in DNA technology - in
food production, disease control and crime investigations. But what if
the findings of a simple DNA test were to turn your life upside down?
Many people are finding out through paternity tests that their fathers
- or their children - are not genetically their own.
These tests are becoming increasingly widespread and the BBC is making
a programme that will examine the lives of people seeking to establish
true paternity.
Are you an adult trying to confirm who your real father is? Are you contesting
paternity in order to overturn a maintenance order from the Child Support
Agency? Or maybe you have recently made a startling discovery about your
father or a child you have raised as your own. Facing such situations
cannot be easy but others can learn and draw support from your story.
If you are interested in sharing your experience, we would like to hear
from you.
You can call Christine on 0161 244 3205 in complete confidence. Your call
will not be recorded and we will not broadcast any aspect of your experience
without your consent.
