How to get tested?

Step 1.

Think carefully about how the results of the paternity test will affect your life and whether you can cope with result that you won't like.

Step 2.

Make contact with the lab by phone (44-1674-660013) by email or by letter: Wiltech-Bio, Dunninald Mains, Dunninald Estate, Montrose DD10 9TD, Scotland. You may also use the web order form if you have no need for discussion.

Step 3.

When you contact us, we will keep the strictest confidence. At this point we will answer any questions you may have and discuss anything you are anxious about.

Step 4.

At your request, we will post you a DNA collection kit and consent forms (see method).

Step 5.

Each person being tested has to sign the form. The form confirms that a DNA test to determine relationship with the other co-signing parties is acceptable.

Step 6.

You send us a cheque for the cost of the service.

Step 7.

You follow the simple instructions and put your DNA sample in the labelled tube. You post the sample back to us together with signed consent forms.

Step 8.

We contact you by phone, mail or email (you choose) to tell you the results of the test. We always send a follow-up letter.
